In-Depth Photo Illustrations
The staged illustration- i think its a staged photo because u know the lady is not dead and put here there to take this photo. its just an act and thats why i like this image.

The photo realist
ic alteration- u can tell this image was put together with other images to make a statement and its unethical distortions of the truth. i like it cause theres so much goin on.

The composite image- its a composite because the child was put into the tv makeing a statement and its artistic and sayin that childer are confined to the tv and that why i like this image.

favorite #2.
I like the second photo because i like the angle its shot at. You can see the main buildings in austin through the tall thingy. It has a really good focus u can see the whole senery in the photo. also the exposure is kewl because you can look at the shadow and light clearly so there might have been a low shutter speed.

Dustin snipes
the notes strengths were he had good pictures, got a picture of everyone doin something, wicture with moments.
the noted weakness, what that he used photo shop.
i saw strengths that this guy goes in the middle of it to get his shot and he find emotion.
i couldnt find any weeknesses.
contest recap
They went through many phots argueing and puttin in their own opinions on it. Tryin to find a portfolio on diversity and good photos all the way through. and even though the winner had all sports it was the best one.
Individual Images
i agree that the photo with rugbee players that it should be in number one spot. its a photo of players and the guy with the ball is getting chased, and the man holdin the ball has anoter player grabbing him and it looks as if his fingure is in his eye. it has good emiotion.
i disagree with the photo of the hocky players gettin second place. Because there could be more. what happened after the player got hit? u dont see and of their faces. the boxing player photo should have came in second.

Langston Hughes

the "As I Grew Older: poem was one of my favorites form what i read.
i like it because he shows a reality of what gettin older does. you lose what u were and you want to go back. but thats what growin old is all about.
Ingrid Bergman at Stromboli
1949
was a realy good photo beacuse it shows the womens emotions and blurrs out the three women in the back stareing at her what seems like there judgeing what they do not know.

Cover History
1. Early Magazine Covers
The early magizine covers were ALOT more plane that what we see now. if we saw it not knowin it was a magizine cover, wed think it got riped off and we were seeing the table of contents. The covers in the 1800s to the 1700s tended to modle the cover off of book covers. all it had was a title and a punlication title. there was no description on what the magizine was about so ur lookin at it not knowin what its even about.
2. The Poster Cover
the poster covers started comein out in the 1890s to the 1960s. the poster cover dominated the field at the time and it produced so many memorbial covers on issues of the time. the covers were sometimes over sized and tended to look like it was printed and u should hang it onthe wall. there was no cover lines or a theme. Its ushaly a big artistic picture with a statement with mayve a few words and the cover name.
3. Pictures Married to Type
A cover type usushaly has a large title with the models face overlappin the model needs to have a full body pose. The cover lines on all sides of her are carefully positioned in with the model and the backround.this stared to make what we see in covers not. it has text around the model or subject and gives u a hint of what you r goin to read about in the magizine.
